This aerial Cablecar ride was originally installed at Pleasureland, Southport in 1974 and is now part of the Dreamland collection of historical rides.
Dreamland has never featured a Cablecar ride, although they have been seen at other British seaside parks, including Blackpool Pleasure Beach, Marvel's in Scarborough and Morecambe Pleasure Park.
A number of options are being considered for its use – one idea is to run the Cablecar from the promenade, up and over the main road and buildings into the amusement park.
The Cablecar is currently in storage ready to be assessed as part of the restoration programme.
